Jefferson Highway

407 Jefferson Highway - Now Actually nothing

but the closest place we could find is the Nichol Construction Company at 401 Jefferson Highway.

407 Jefferson Highway - Then the Club Forest

A gambling hall located in New Orleans near the Jefferson Parish line. It would have sat just past the second set (of 3) railroad tracks when entering Orleans Parish. The location would be near the La. Seafood Exchange (but across the hwy).

100 Jefferson Hwy - Now the Salvation Army Thrift Store

Located just past the Jefferson Parish line in New Orleans, river side.

100 Jefferson Hwy - Then O'Dwyer's Gambling Club

George and Rudy O'Dwyer ran the illegal O'Dwyer's casino and nightclub. After the gambling crackdown, O'Dwyer's became a bowling alley. It is interesting to note that Odwyer Place (a street) is located within a few blocks of the now defunct gambling hall.
