Fitzgerald's


This four page menu is from Fitzgerald's Seafoods, West End Park, Lake Pontchartrain, New Orlean Louisiana. The cover depicts a color photo image of the restaurant which is actually located on a pier above the lake. The left inside page depicts brown photo images oaf Lobster, Founder, Seafood Platter, Broiled Trout, Soft Shell Crabs, Fried Chicken and Shrimp Prices range from 1.00 to 2.50. The right inside page includes a half page of dirnks and about a half page of food--virtually all seafood, including Crayfish at 50 cents. The menu is most likely from the late 1950s and was established in 1932 by Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Fitzgerald. Measures 11 1/2' x 8'.

Fitzgerald's was badly damaged during the storm. It was not repaired and did not re-open. The restaurant and the camp no longer exists.
