2. To Have a Gigantic Slumber Party

A family almost NEVER went to the camp by themselves. Usually 3 or 4 families would get together to share a week out at the camp. That meant about 8 adults and at least 12 kids. And parents were usually pretty nice about letting the kids bring a friend--so that could turn out to be 20 or more kids of all ages. It was a great place to be a kid.

And, of course, since the adults were in charge, they invited their friends too--along with their friends' kids. So some days you might have 50 or more people out at the camp. Which meant at night, after you finished chasing the bats, you had an amazing slumber party.

And where better to tell tales than at a slumber party. This was a great time to tell all the old stories about what had happened at the camps over the years. Kid's have always shared their stories about their lives and their familys at slumber parties and camp outs. The link below lets you share your family stories with kids all over the world.
