1910 - Moisant vs. a Packard

1910- At an international aviation tournament held in New Orleans a record for a mile was made at 57 seconds and at a record height of 7,125 feet. In a series of automobile-airplane races, a Packard car consistently defeated the airplane piloted by John Moisant.
