Mecca Theatre

The Mecca Theatre at 721 Adams Street had been vacant for many years according to officials of United Theaters desiring to have its zoning classification changed from Two Family Residential to Neighborhood Commercial District. The Planning Com mission recommended against their petition and the Council concurred. At some later time, though, the old movie house fell victim to the wrecking ball. Its site is now occupied by a small apartment building.
