5. Solar Power


The water pipes which ran along the "walk". During the summer the sun would heat the water in these pipes (and remember some of these were 350 feet long). On a good hot day you waited until after dark to take a shower or bath because the COLD water would be too hot to be comfortable.

Look at the picture and you will see that the railing is made of the water pipes. At some camps the water pipes were under the "walk" but they got really got too.

None of the camps had heaters. But since you only went to the camp during the summer you didn't need a heater.
