The Greater New Orleans Bridge No. 1 was designed by Modjeski and Masters and constructed in 1958. This bridge, as part of the New Orleans complex urban freeway system, crosses the Mississippi River at New Orleans Harbor with connections to the Ponchartrain Expressway and the West Bank Expresway.
