Juy 14, 1955 Bob Hope in New Orleans

Bob Hope came to New Orleans on July 14, 1955 to play in a golf match at Lakewood Country Club to benefit the United Cerebral Palsy Association. His partner was to be Seymour Weiss and his opponents Mrs Sam Israel, Jr. and Edward B. Silverstein. When the match had to be called off because of bad weather, old "Ski Nose" instead made two personal appearances at the Saenger Theater. During the day, he also found time to clown around with a young NORD baseball player. Source: http://nutrias.org/~nopl/monthly/sept2001/sept012.htm
