Audubon Park Locomotive

Dat ol' engine ...I believe that it is presently alongside the Save-A-Center corporate office on Jefferson Hiway across from Ochsner Clinic/Hospital. It is disassembled and I understood that it was to be fully restored in time for Louisiana Purchase celebrations, but it doesn't appear that will happen on time.

yoosta wuz....Ah! Sweet memories. Jus' foah blocks frum ma chahldhood home. Dat engine wuz bah da Tchoupitoulas St. exit a da pawk. A frennamine broke his awm playin' around on dat ting. Nevah stopped us fa a minute! I remembah any previously movable gears or levers were welded in place. Guess dey wuz afraid some rugrat would take off past da endada tracks.
