Flashback to tooting on one of those plastic flutes in 4th grade. . . The exercise must have been a sort of screening process to identify those who had musical aptitude. Did Catlick schools have the same sort of program? Do elementary school kids today still play on tonettes?

They are called flutophones at my school and is a program for 3rd graders. I believe there is a concert each year where the parents are subjected...I mean, treated to an evening of their darlings' musical progress.
