Festival of Fins.

From May through September of 2000, the Young Leadership Council, in partnership with the Arts Council of New Orleans' public art program, held the Festival of Fins, the largest public art display in the city’s history.
More than 150 artists designed and painted over 200 fiberglass fish appeared throughout the New Orleans Metro area.
In November of 2000, 105 fish were publicly auctioned raising over $550,000 for New Orleans area non-profit organizations.
